Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has broken down in tears amid his ongoing legal battle with the Ogun State government over allegations of assaulting government officials.
The controversy began after officials from the Ogun State Planning and Development Permit Authority (OGPDPA) reportedly clashed with Portable and his associates at Odogwu Bar in Iyana Ilogbo.
The singer has since been accused of assault, sparking legal action against him.
In a recent viral video, Portable was seen weeping bitterly while singing a melancholic tune, pleading for divine intervention.
He sang:
“The gods, please help me, answer them with fire; may my secrets be safe. As long as they can’t take this dream, I won’t be tempted by the devil. We are all sinners, and when a sinner knows his crime, he shouldn’t stay long on his knees. May my life be better by God’s grace.”
His emotional outburst has triggered mixed reactions from fans, with some expressing sympathy while others dismissed it as a dramatic attempt to evade accountability.
