In 2018 when I took this picture with you , you spoke concerning Africa and why our continent must improve and develop. I remember telling you that as a student of Theatre Arts, I acted the character - ‘Asinjo’ who was in a relationship with Wanjiro, the daughter of Njango in “I will Marry When I Want” - which you wrote.
Later that evening, we drank palm wine together, while you pleaded that writers should write in their indigenous languages for sustainability and identity.
As you exit this arena of life, your literary contributions to the well being of humanity will continue to resonate amid the chaos of existence. Especially, when you said that, “Our lives are a battlefield on which is fought a continuous war between the forces that are pledged to confirm our humanity and those determined to dismantle it.”
Once again, Rest In Peace Africa’s Great!
